Bocaina Villas is a very pleasant residential development of very comfortable and well equipped private houses just 400m uphill from the resort centre, old port and main beach of Puerto del Carmen, making them ideal for anyone who wants a quiet villa within easy walking distance of this lively resort.

Furnished to a high standard, each house has its own private swimming pool (6m x 3m, depth 1m to 1.8m, with ladder), sun terraces and BBQ area, whilst there is also a spacious upstairs balcony with panoramic views. Puerto del Carmen is also very convenient for visiting Timanfaya National Park, Teguise golf course or exploring the island.

Puerto del Carmen is Lanzarote’s biggest and busiest resort and has been attracting tourists for more than 40 years. Lively, but not rowdy, and boasting a 3 mile stretch of golden beaches, it’s a great choice for families and young couples. If you feel like a change from soaking up the sun there’s lots to keep you occupied here. There are a number of scuba diving schools and windsurfing centres on the seafront, while you can try your hand at sailing or kayaking at the smart marina at Puerto Calero a couple of miles to the west. Cycling is a popular pastime too and there are plenty of bike hire centres along the promenade. You’re also within easy reach of a number of commercial attractions – a great treat for the whole family. Eating out is a pleasure, particularly in one of the excellent seafood restaurants around the delightful old harbour. Meanwhile, the Avenida de las Playas, or “The Strip” as it’s usually known, offers a choice of more than 100 restaurants, serving everything from fast food to haute cuisine, not to mention a host of bars, nightclubs and cabaret clubs. Playa del Carmen is a delight for shoppers too, with a wide choice of shops on Beach Avenue offering a great selection of duty-free electronics, perfume, alcohol and tobacco.
