The Brena Baja area of La Palma on the east coast side of the island just north of La Palma Airport is the main La Palma resort centre for the east. Low key, and with new and modern accommodation Los Cancajos is a delightful La Palma resort within the Brena Baja region. Pretty blue flag naturally formed black sandy beaches combine with a choice of resort facilities including ample accommodation, bars, car rental outlets, restaurants, small shopping centres and just a hop and a skip from the island's historic capital Santa Cruz de La Palma.

Los Cancajos in the Brena Baja region of La Palma, alongside Puerto Naos to the west, is a growing and beautiful La Palma resort (although certainly not on the resort scale of those to the south of Tenerife and Gran Canaria). Playa de Los Cancajos promenade has been tastefully designed, with historical markers and coastal forts currently receiving some restoration attention. The cove beach is a blue flag one, with palm trees and black sands. It's quiet and pretty, with relaxing bars lining the beach promenade.
Watersports are on the menu here in Los Cancajos, particularly diving off this rocky coastline. (see the La Palma Los Cancajos diving website links to the right for more details). It's easy to access a choice of activity based Companies from Los Cancajos including Trekking, bike rentals and more. Check out the weblinks right for details.
There's a couple of discos and a few live music venues in Los Cancajos, and some of the bigger hotels offer in-house entertainment. There's a well stocked and busy Spar in the centre of the resort.
