Just south of Playa de Sotavento and Costa Calma are a selection of quiet and high quality accommodations around the blue flag stretch of beach - Playa de Esquinzo. You might find a little knowledge of German rather useful down here - this is a popular area with the Germans.

Tranquil walks along the beach here at Esquinzo, and a choice of all inclusive hotel bases make this location around 10km from Morro Jable a base for quiet, get away from it all Fuerteventura beach holidays. Little locations like Playa de Esquinzo towards the Jandia Peninsula are not so well known to British holidaymakers (the Germans however are certainly familiar with the beautiful beaches and small, quiet resort locations down here - they flock back every year and you might find if you stay in a hotel down here that most of the information and entertainment will be in German!)
The development around Playa de Esquinzo seems to follow a pattern of small sections of development relatively near well established resorts, yet with a luxury leisure accommodation focus offering things like in-house gyms, plenty of stuff for the kids including kids clubs, luxury swimming pools, entertainment, tennis and all the rest. If you're looking for all inclusive luxury beach holidays then small developments such as those at Las Playitas and here at Playa de Esquinzo are well worth your perusal.
You're never far from some of the bigger resorts too, so you've a quieter base, yet in this case at Playa de Esquinzo, easy access to the many amenities in both Morro Jable and Costa Calma. Many Fuerteventura excursions also pick-up from hotels in these smaller luxury developments.
Nearby Playa del Matorral beach between Esquinzo and Morro Jable is handy too, as here you'll find a wide selection of dive centres, windsurfing equipment hire and schools, and various other catamaran sailing and watersports. Mind you, there's a few available from Esquinzo Beach too, with leisure hotels also open to the public and some sports. No doubt this area is set to expand further in the near future.
