If you don't drive, or you don't fancy driving on your Lanzarote Holiday, but are still keen to visit as many attractions as you can on this stunning Canary Island - Timanfaya is a must and best explored on a guided tour coach - then you can, through an exciting and extensive list of tours and days out.

Amongst the choice of excursions available on Lanzarote there's the Lanzarote South grand tour taking in the beautiful village of Uga, then upto the spectacular Timanfaya National Park with camel rides and more. Choose the Grand Tour North Route and take in beautiful and historic Teguise, Haria then upto the Mirador del Rio for stunning views of La Graciosa. Family fun days out include a trip to Costa Teguise's great waterpark or the Yellow Submarine Safari leaving from Puerto Calero - magic. Hook into a half day tour to the Manrique Foundation or how about a day trip to Fuerteventura via Playa Blanca to Corralejo.

Lanzarote Southern Island Tour

This tour takes in stunning villages in the south of Lanzarote and includes a tour of the spectacular Timanfaya National Park and Lanzarote's many volcanic cones and remains of lava flow. You pass through the village of Uga, then travel towards Timanfaya National Park, including stopping to enjoy one of the famous camel rides. This is followed by a visit to the Islet of Hilario where you can experience geothermal demonstrations by guides, then undertake the Volcano Route - unmissible during any visit to Lanzarote.

Your next stop is Costa de la Lava in the south which affords panoramic views of the Janubio salt mines and a visit to Los Hervideros. A meal is included on route.

The next stop is a visit to La Geria - an important vine growing region on Lanzarote. Here you can sample some of the wines during a tasting session in a typical wine cellar. Holidaymakers are then dropped back to their pick-up points, arriving back at 3.30pm.

Lanzarote North Island Tour

This Lanzarote Island Tour focuses on the north of the island moving upto historic Teguise, the one time capital of the island (famous for it's Sunday morning market). The tour then moves towards Los Valles, aiming for Haria.

Tour guests can expect magnificent views of the Valley of a Thosand Palm Trees here. Onwards through Maguez and Ye, the tour visits the renowned Manrique designed Mirador del Rio wantage point which affords spectacular views again, this time of La Graciosa Island.

The North Lanzarote Tour then moves towards the Cueva de los Verdes cave and Jameos del Agua cave network (the latter is of Manrique design again). A Meal is included in the tour, and the return journey travels through Mala and Guatiza, returning guests to the pick-up/hotel points by 3.30pm.

Family Fun Attractions Lanzarote

Various family fun tour excursions are available in Lanzarote, including day trips to Lanzarote's great waterpark in Costa Teguise. Hook into the Submarine Safari tour - why not. Great family fun here where you'll experience a dive on board a real submarine, taking you below the crystal clear Atlantic waters near Puerto Calero. With excellent viewing portals, all the family can experience the underwater world of Lanzarote without have to go diving. The submarine tour in Lanzarote is particularly popular with families.

Take a tour day trip to Rancho Texas, with it's mock Indian village, Medicine Man Cave, a Goldmine, Liliput farm with small animals, spectacular bird and crocodile shows and ample restaurants on-site. Evening shows are also available at this popular Lanzarote theme park near Puerto del Carmen, the main resort.

Cultural Tours Lanzarote

Lanzarote tour excursions are available to all the top cultural centres on Lanzarote, including a half day trip to the Cesar Manrique Foundation in Tachiche near Costa Teguise. Well worth a trip, not just for a look at the fascinating designe of this blended cave networked, one time home of Manrique, but also for the collection of contemporary art held here which includes many works by Manrique. This tour also takes in the Peasant's Monument where you can see different pottery, basketwork and ofther crafs being made by local craftsmen. A quick snack is followed by the return to pick up points by 1pm.

The shorter south tour of Lanzarote is perfect for guests interested in wine tours. This tour passes through the village of Uga, then on towards the spectacular Mountains of Fire - Timanfaya National Park (inclusive of camel ride). This is followed by a visit to the Islet of Hilario where you can enjoy some of the fun geothermal demonstrations. Then follows the spectacular volcano route, followed by travel towards Costa de la Lava in the south where you'll see panoramic views of the Janubio salt mines. Next is a visit to Los Hervideros, and on to the La Geria vine-growing area where you can enjoy a tasting session in a typical wine cellar. Guests are returned to their pick-up point by 2pm.

Catamaran Sailing Trips Lanzarote

A superb choice of catamaran sailing trips are available on Lanzarote. To take in Lobos Island off the south coast of Lanzarote, hook into the Rubicat Catamaran tour of Lobos Island. This Sailing tour departs from Playa Blanca and sails on to Lobs. The catamaran anchors near the beach, and guests benefit from marvellous views of Lobos, with lots of sea, sun and fun on the menu. A Catamaran sailor will take you to the beach, and lunch is included on board (usually salad, pasta and fruit). After lunch, at a leisurely pace guests can enjoy a final swim, with views of the coast of Lanzarote, Lobos Island and Fuerteventura. The return journey moves past the Papagayo beaches and arrives back in Playa Blanca around 4pm.

Another Catamaran Sailing tour available departs from Pueto Calero Marine. The luxury Catlanza catamaran heads for the golden beaches of Papagayo after a warm welcome from the crew. The emphasis is on relaxation on this luxury catamaran cruize. The bar is open and drinks and fresh fruit are free flowing. Any guests wishing to join in and help with the sailing - taking the helm are most welcome.

After arriving at the stunning beaches of Papagayo, the Catlanza drops anchor, and guests can swim and snorkel in crystal clear waters here. If they choose guests can also enjoy a free jet-ski ride with a professional instructor. Lunch is served on board and is usuall a delicious meal of pasta with a choice of tuna or vegetarian sauce, slad and ample bread and butter. After lunch there's time for a final swim, then we raise anchor and sail gently back along the Lanzarote coast to port at Puerto Calero. The bar of course stays open throughout the trip, and guests may well spot dolphins and pilot whales along the way. A perfect relaxing day tour on a catamaran.

Helicopter and Jeep Trips Lanzarote

How about a 30 minute helicopter tour during your stay in Lanzarote. This amazing trip by helicopter allows you to experience the very best of Lanzarote from the air. Hosted by experienced tour guides, two flight routes are available that view the spectacular volcanoes of Timanfaya National Park, the Papagayo beaches and the Famara Cliffs, as well as spotting your own holiday resort! Guests should most certainly bring along their cameras! The newest generation of helicopter is used and especially adapted for sight-seeing flights with good vision available. Expect fantastic views for all of the six seats on-board.

If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, but fancy pushing out into rarely explored territory on Lanzarote, then why not enjoy a Jeep Safari trip with Tamaran on Lanzarote. After pick-up from Lanzarote resorts the jeep tour travels to Teguise and stops for a short spell to explain the route and basic rules for safety. Then the tour heads down to the beautiful and prime surfing beach of Famara through La Caleta, Soo, Caleta de Caballo and La Santa, where we make a stop again. The jeeps then continue to the other side of Lanzarote along volcanic rock trails towards La Asomada, taking in La Geria wine region along the way and views of the Timanfaya National Park and vineyards.

The jeep tour then stops in pretty Yaiza for lunch, then continues on to Playa Blanca and Papagayo to stop for bathing and sun bathing. The jeep tour then returns to pick-up points and hotels through Macher, arriving back at about 5pm. (Both warm clothing and swimwear are recommended for this tour).

Grand Tour Lanzarote & Day Trip to Fuerteventura

The Grand Tour of Lanzarote, taking in most of the best the island has to offer has an early pick-up between 7.30am to 9am then heads off towards the South of the island, passing through Uga then on to the Mountains of Fire (camel ride) then Timanfaya National Park where guests can enjoy geothermal demonstrations and take the Volcano Route via coach. The tour then continues to the south of the island to admire La Costa de la Lava (expect a panoramic view of the Janubio salt mines and Los Hervideros here). A meal is inclusive on route, and after lunch the tour corsses Lanzarote pushing towards the important wine region of La Geria.

A typical wine cellar visit is included with a wine tasting session. The tour then continues north, passing through historic Teguise, the island's one time capital, then to Los Valles, Haria (with views of the Valley of the Tousand Palm Trees) and on to the Jameos del Agua, Manrique designed cave network. The Lanzarote Grand Tour returns through Guatiza and arrives back to pick-up points around 6pm. It's easy to take a day trip to Fuerteventura from Lanzarote - the boat trip crossing from Playa Blanca in southern Lanzarote to Corralejo in North Fuerteventura is only a 30 minute crossing. After the 30 minute crossing from Lanzarote, the Fuerteventura tour continues on to Betancuria where guests visit the Casa de Santa Maria (with multivision included). This is followed by a visit to Pajara and the church. Afterwards the tour continues through Toto, Tuineje, Tiscamanita and finally Antigua. Lunch is enjoyed in the Molino de Antigua restaurant, then we head back north through the Carmen salt mines and on through Costa Caleta to Puerto del Rosario, for views of the islands capital. The tour continues along the coast to the Corralejo Dunes Nature park where the tour stops for bathing. We then return to Corralejo's dock and the crossing back to Playa Blanca, returning to pick-up points about 7.15pm.
