San Eugenio on the Tenerife South coast just north of Playa de las Americas and just south of Torviscas is another off-shot of big brother Playa de las Americas. You're ideally placed here for excellent beaches, and just a short walk from Puerto Colon harbour and numerous diving and pleasure boat trips!
Definitely the pace is slower here than in Playa de las Americas, and it's a self contained resort with everything you'll need for a lazy beach holiday. You won't be short of watersports choice, you've everything here from pedaloes to banana boat rides to jet ski. Nearby Costa Adeje beaches in this area are ideal for families - it's sheltered with excellent facilities all close at hand and sunbeds galore. So close to the T1 motorway too, so consider it for a budget, well equipped base if you're pushing out around Tenerife either further west to Gigantes and the Teno Mountains or north to Santa Cruz.
There's rather a lot of Tenerife property for sale in the San Eugenio and San Eugenio Alto area (check the Tenerife Property guide on this website for more details). So if you fancy purchasing one of your own Tenerife properties, San Eugenio is one of the hotspot property locations on the island.
Along with neighbouring Torviscas, San Eugenio is a quieter base than Playa de las Americas, yet within easy reach of the livelier atmosphere and many resort attractions including waterparks and golf, should you wish to access it.
San Eugenio is a good choice for all inclusive Tenerife family beach holidays. There's ample choice in the area of all inclusive and high quality Tenerife hotel accommodation, and the excellent sandy beaches along this stretch are never far away.
Skypark and the big Costa Adeje Aquapark (see links right) are in this area, plus Puerto Colon Harbour means boat trips and diving excursions are on your doorstep. There are numerous commercial/shopping centres in the area offering a choice of bars, restaurants and tax free shops. San Eugenio Tenerife makes a perfect family holiday base, and offers a quieter atmosphere than more bustling adjacent Playa de las Americas.
