Available from the southern resorts of Tenerife, a full days tour of the Canadas Del Teide. This tour up to Spain's highest peak El Teide takes the country road of Chio up to the volcano Chinyer, travelling past Pico Viejo and then on into the National Park. The coach tour then moves on past Boca Tauce and Llano de Ucanca, arriving at the unusual rock formations of Zapatilla de la Reina (the queen's slippers). Nearby the coach then moves on to the Parador Hotel and the magnificent Los Roques de Garcia for a photostop and a chance to visit the Canada Blanca Visitors Centre which contains excellent exhibits on the volcanic history of Tenerife and the Canaries, plus exhibits on pre-hispanic settlers, the Guanches.
The coach then moves on to the base of Teide (3718m) then round to the eastern side to Montana Blanca and Piedra Pomez where you'll see fascinating volcanic rock formations and colourful lava fields and craters. Free time is available for lunch or a picnic (optional) in a restaurant in the region. The Teide National Park tour then returns to the southern resorts via Tenerife's highest village, Vilaflor. A full day's coach tour of Canadas Del Teide also departs from the northern area (usually pickups from Puerto de la Cruz. This route heads down towards the Teide National Park passing through the pretty village of La Orotava with it's stunning selection of Canarian architecture. The coach tour then heads towards the mountain of Mount Teide, and on the way offers spectacular views over the valley of La Orotava and the northern coastline.
The day trip then crosses the Montana Blanca, the Parador Nacional, Roques de Garcia and Llano de Ucanca, with a stop to admire Mount Teide (3718m). The tour then stops for lunch or a picnic (optional) and then contineus on via Izana, Mirador de Ortuno and then on to the Esperanza mountains. The full day Tenerife Island tour departing from the southern region of the island moves firstly towards Los Gigantes with it's steep and magnificent cliffs. The tour then moves up the road to Santiago del Teide to the village of Erjos, then onwards to El Tanque and a viewing point here where you can see the pretty village of Garachico below.
Garachico was once an important and strategic port on Tenerife, but was buried by the volcanic eruption in 1705, after which it was rebuilt. The tour then moves towards Icod de los Vinos to fiew the famous Dragon tree, then onwards to La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz, where lunch or a picnic (optional) is taken. Time is available to walk through the old town of Puerto de la Cruz and view the Lago Martianez swimming complex designed by Cesar Manrique in the late 1970s. The tour then returns to the southern pickup points via the southern TF 1 motorway.
The full day island tour of Tenerife departing from the north moves firstly towards Icod de los Vinos for a viewing of the famous Drago tree, which is thought to have been here for over 1000 years. The tour then drives on upto El Tanque passing the viewpoint of Garachico (once the most important harbour on the island).
The coach tour then moves on to the mountain range of Erjos, then onwards to Santiago del Teide and Los Gigantes with it's dramatic steep coastal cliffs. The tour then moves on to Playa de las Americas in the south, and then allows time for lunch or a picnic (optional). You're welcome to take time to enjoy the beaches or go for a walk here. The tour then moves back along the southern motorway to La Candelaria, incorporating a visit to the Basilica, home to the Virgin of Candelaria, the Patron Saint of the Canaries. For a guaranteed fun family day out book onto a full day trip to Loro Parque in Puerto de la Cruz. This tour is offered from the southern region, or just entrance for visitors based in the north. The coach takes the direct motorway route from the south towards Puerto de la Cruz, and then directly onto Loro Parque, one of Tenerife's top attractions. Loro Parque has one of the largest parrot collections in the world, as well as sea-lions, dolphins, gorillas, tigers, flamingos and penguins as well as a huge aquarium with sharks. The newest attraction not to be missed is the killer whales! The park includes some stunning garden areas withluch and varied vegetation. (This excursion is without a guide. After the hotel pickups, park entrance tickets are handed out and the return coach pick-up time advised.

Departing from the southern locations of Tenerife, the Masca - Garachico Full Day Tenerife tour begins by driving west towards Tamaimo and Santiago del Teide, then on up to the Parque Rural de Teno in the west, from where stunning panoramic views can be enjoyed from the Barranco and Caserjo de Masca across to the magical El Palmar Valley and the magnificent Los Gigantes cliffs. Walk through the stunning village of Masca or continue on by coach. The tour then moves on to Buenavista and the village of Garachico which used to be the most important harbour on Tenerife until it was destroyed by the eruption of 1705, after which it was rebuilt. From the southern region of Tenerife, highly recommended is the full day tour to La Gomera, the small island adjacent to Tenerife. The tour departs from the harbour in Los Cristianos and travels by quick ferry to the port of San Sebastian de la Gomera (the island's capital). The tour then drives up to the beautiful Parque Nacional de Garajonay with it's Laurisilva forest, taking in the viewing point of La Degollada de Peraza.
The La Gomera tour then continues along the country road of La Palmita and across the National Park to the villages of Las Rosas and Agulo. Lunch is included in this spectacular day trip, and is combined with a demonstration of the famous whistle-language of the inhabitants of La Gomera. I there is still time, the tour pays a visit to the visitor center - Juego de Bolas. The tour then returns through the valley of Hermigua towards San Sebastian, where there is opportunity to visit the Torre del Conde and La Casa de Colon (both significant sights in the Columbus trail) before departing for the return ferry to Tenerife. The full day La Gomera tour also departs from the north of the island from Puerto de la Cruz pickups. The coach drives swiftly down to Los Cristianos for the ferry to San Sebastian, the capital of La Gomera. Then we're back on a coach up into the spectacular Garajonay National Park with it's unique Laurisilva forest. The tour passes various viewpoints including La Degollada de Peraza and continues up the road of La Palmita and across the National Park to the villages of Las Rosas and Agulo. Lunch is included in this tour too, with demonstrations of the Gomeran whistle. If there's time we make a visit to the Juego de Bolas Visitor centre, then back through the valley of Hermigua towards San Sebastian, where there's more time to take in the Torre del Conde and La Casa de Colon before hopping on the ferry back to Tenerife. A cultural and historical day trip not to be missed departing from the south begins by heading up the motorway towards Tenerife's capital Santa Cruz, with its varied architecture and wonderful wide shopping avenues and parks. Santa Cruz also boasts one of the most important harbours in Spain, receiving cargo ships as well as luxury cruise liners. There is plenty of time for shopping and sight-seeing. After Santa Cruz, the tour moves on passing through historic San Cristobal de la Laguna and on to the Mercedes Mountains.
There are various viewing points such as Pico del Ingles where superb photos of the island can be taken. The tour then passes through the Anaga Mountains towards Taganana with it's beautiful valley and beaches. There is time to look around the village and take a picnic (optional). The tour then returns via El Bailadero to the beach of Las Teresitas at San Andres, from where we continue on to the village of Candelaria, where the 'Virgen of Candelaria', the patron saint of the archipelago which is kept in the Basilica. From the northern zone a similar Santa Cruz-Taganana full day tour heads out on the motorway towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife for shopping and sight-seeing. The tour then heads to San Andres and the beautiful beach of Playa de las Teresitas, then on to the mountain range of Anaga over to Taganana for lunc or a picnic (optional) This tour then heads on to the Mercedes Mountains and returns via La Laguna and the norther motorway. Lunch is not included in this tour.
Half day tours from the south and north of Tenerife are also available to Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The tour departs up the motorway towards the cpaital. Upon arrival at the Plaza de Espana the important landmarks of Santa Cruz will be pointed out such as the Natural History Museum and the Museum of Man and Nature, as well as important architecture and historical buildings. There are wide shopping avenues such as the Castillo Street, Plaz Weyler, Rambla de Pulido and Plaza de la Paz. Also worth viewing is the marvellous walk Las Ramblas and the Avenida de Anaga with it's harbour - one of the largest in Spain. The tour returns via the southern motorway. Lunch is not included in this half day tour to Santa Cruz.
