Tenerife family holiday attractions are numerous. Tenerife has continued to evolve with the times, and holiday demands, developing new waterparks (checkout the mammoth aquapark at Costa Adeje), popular animal parks, miniature villages, a choice of theme parks, family evening entertainment, karting circuits, quad safaris, Medieval and Mexican themed nights and more. It's all here in Tenerife, and plenty of choice of camel ride venues too.

La Baranda Wine Museum, Casa Museo Insular de la Vid y el Vino de Tenerife, Autopista Gra. Del Norte. Km 21, (El Sauzal exit), 38360 El Sauzal. Tel 922 572535 / 922 572542 (Restaurant) 922 563388. Another top family attraction in Tenerife, has been for many years, is Parque Del Drago in Icod de los Vinos. Situated adjacent to the main square and San Marcos Parish Church, Parque Del Drago's main crowd puller is the 1000 year old Dragon Tree (although it's actually been dated at 800 years old). The park also contains extensive gardens around this iconic Tenerife Drago Tree.

Camel Park, Carretera, Los Cristianos, Tenerife. Tel: +34 922 721 080. Open daily from 10am to 5pm. Free bus services to the Camel Park for camel rides run regularly from Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos. Camel rides are usually about 1 hour, and there's ample facilities on-site including a cafe. (Exit 27 off the TF1, just up from Los Cristianos).

Castillo San Miguel (as shown by the BBC apparently!).
