San Eugenio Alto sits slightly inland from San Eugenio and Costa Adeje on the coast, and it's elevated up here bordering the Paraje Natural Caldera Del Rey. You've the best of both worlds - easy access to some superb Tenerife walking around the Caldera Del Rey, and easy access to great beaches on the Tenerife resorts lining the stretch of coast here in the south. Accommodation leans towards the luxury side too up in the alto!
There's also rather a lot of Tenerife property for sale in the San Eugenio Alto area (check the Canary Islands Property guide on this website for more details). So if you fancy purchasing one of your own Tenerife properties with easy access to good Tenerife walking and Tenerife resorts, San Eugenio Alto is one of the hotspot property locations on the island.
Definitely the pace is slower here than in Playa de las Americas, San Eugenio Alto is the more rural co-joined resort area to San Eugenio and Costa Adeje on the coast. So if you're looking for an event quieter base, yet with easy access to many good resort amentities nearby then San Eugenio Alto is a good choice.
Skypark and the big Costa Adeje Aquapark (see links right) are in this area, plus Puerto Colon Harbour means boat trips and diving excursions are on your doorstep. There are numerous commercial/shopping centres in the area offering a choice of bars, restaurants and tax free shops. San Eugenio Tenerife makes a perfect family holiday base, and offers a quieter atmosphere than more bustling adjacent Playa de las Americas.
