Many of Tenerife south's luxurious rural holiday locations are a well kept secret. San Miguel, situated inland from the Costa del Silencio coast is a delightful rural base, with easy access inland to the Teide National Park, and south to Las Galletas and Los Crisitanos/Playa de las Americas.
San Miguel is situated inland from Los Cristianos (easy access via the C822 main road). There's work afoot to improve road links in this area at the moment!).
Elevated, and with rural views and good access to superb walks around Montana De Ifara and inland around Granadilla and beyond to the Teide National Park, San Miguel makes a good Canarian base for Tenerife walking holidays!
