Beautiful Vilaflor has a long history stretching back to the 16th century and the age old Chasna Trail runs down here all the way from Orotava. Vilaflor has a significant fact attached to it - it's the highest borough in Spain, siting 1400m above sea level.
This beautiful rural Tenerife village is surrounded by pine forests, and is dotted with historic Canarian architecture and arts and crafts centres. Quiet, rural and prime walking territory, sometimes daytrippers stop briefly here on their way to see Mount Teide. Natural scenes of rural beauty abound in the area including the Tres Pernadas and Pino Gordo.
